One former White House reporter is now speaking out on recent remarks made by President Joe Biden, warning members of the press that, should Donald Trump successfully return to the White House for a second term, the scandal-ridden former president “plans to jail us.”
Brian J. Karem published a piece with Salon today, in which he wrote about Joe Biden’s recent warning to members of the US media about the serious threat Donald J. Trump poses to the press.
“Speaking with reporters in California on Thursday, the president said this about Donald Trump,” Karen writes.
Karem reported on remarks Biden made to Katie Couric, talking about his indicted predecessor:
Two of your former colleagues not at the same network personally told me if he wins, they will have to leave the country because he’s threatened to put them in jail. He embraces political violence. No president since the Civil War has done that. Embrace it. Encourages it.”

For someone like Karem, who has personally had multiple run-ins with the unhinged ex-president, Biden’s warning is particularly chilling.
“Perhaps I should have been shocked at the revelation that Trump, should he return to power, would jail reporters,” his new piece reads. “I wasn’t of course. I had to fight him (and beat him) three times in court during his first administration to keep my White House press pass. I had already privately heard Trump’s threats. It was just disturbing to hear Joe Biden confirm it publicly.”
Karem goes on to warn, “Trump means exactly what he says” when it comes to his threats and desires to jail reporters whom he perceives as anti-Trump enemies.
“Trump’s intentions are beyond misunderstanding,” he warns. “He is the catalyst and the driving force behind the disharmony. Remove him and while there may not be a cessation of the stupidity, there will be a calming of the waters.”
