Breaking new reporting from Mediaite and other news outlet sources has confirmed that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has officially launched a search of President Joe Biden’s Rehoboth Beach, DE, home — serving as the federal government’s latest movement in their probe into the classified documents that were recently discovered at the president’s former office and his personal home in Wilmington.
As the bombshell news broke this morning, President Biden’s personal attorney, Bob Bauer, released a public statement, saying that the FBI search was “planned” and directly correlates to the president’s and his team’s open and willing cooperation with federal law enforcement officials into the matter — drawing a stark contrast to the FBI search and seizure warrant raid that the federal government was forced to conduct at former President Donald Trump’s Palm Beach compound turned post-White House personal residence, following Trump and his team’s blatant refusal to cooperate with any efforts from the DOJ, NARA, or the FBI to return the top-secret documents and materials to the National Archives and instead chose to repeatedly lie to and mislead government officials.
Bauer’s statement reads:
Today, with the President’s full support and cooperation, the DOJ is conducting a planned search of his home in Rehoboth, Delaware. Under DOJ’s standard procedures, in the interests of operational security and integrity, it sought to do this work without advance public notice, and we agreed to cooperate. The search today is a further step in a thorough and timely DOJ process we will continue to fully support and facilitate. We will have further information at the conclusion of today’s search.”

President Biden personally spoke out on the incident weeks ago, in the direct aftermath of the news, and made it clear that he takes this matter very seriously, stating that he was “surprised” by the discovery but confirmed that his legal team is “cooperating fully” with the reviews into the incident that have since been launched by the US Department of Justice as well as the National Archives and Records Administration.
“People know I take classified information seriously,” Biden said on the matter.
