As disgraced, scandal-ridden former President Trump struggles to gain any financial footing amid the endless stream of lawsuits and investigations he’s currently facing, combined with a failing 2024 presidential campaign launch, it seems the former guy is desperate to find a way to pull in some cash from his gullible fan base.
According to hilarious reporting from Axios, Donald Trump is now preparing to sell a new book, consisting of a collection of letters he has received from celebrities and notable names over the years — seemingly in an attempt to rake in some cash on his not-so-humble brag. The report notes that the collection is set to include correspondence the now-ex-president has received from celebrities, politicians, and famous names, including the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Princess Diana, Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, Mario Cuomo, Arnold Palmer, Jay Leno, Liza Minnelli, and Regis Philbin.
While all of the above is pretty interesting, to say the least, Axios takes particular interest in the letter Trump received from Oprah Winfrey. The report notes that the popular talk show host wrote the letter back in 2000 when the then-New York real estate “mogul” and soon-to-be reality TV “star” first began to float the notion of a presidential run and Trump infamously toyed with the idea of Oprah Winfrey making the perfect running mate for his hypothetical campaign.
Winfrey wrote to Trump in the letter, “Too bad we’re not running for office. What a team!”

Oprah’s support for the former real estate mogul didn’t last, of course, as Trump was quick to implement a highly racist platform and policies once he kicked off his 2016 campaign, even going so far as to infamously tell women of color to “go back” to the countries they came from.
Even Trump himself has publicly acknowledged the love lost between himself and the world-renowned talk show host, writing, “Sadly, once I announced for President, she never spoke to me again.”
The impending book will reportedly go on sale for $99 each for a regular copy or $399 for a signed copy.
The collection of letters all wrapped up in a nice little book comes on the heels of the former president’s last pathetically desperate cash grab, when he sold digital trading card NFTs of himself to make some fast cash, in a move that earned a rebuke as a tawdry, cheap, gimmicky schtick from even his own base.
