Footage From Trump’s Super Bowl Party Shows An Unexpected Halftime Choice On The Big Screens

The Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show was watched at Mar-a-Lago, instead of the Kid Rock Turning Point USA show.

Almost immediately after Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show performance ended on Sunday, President Trump took to Truth Social to bash the performance and declare it “absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!”

“It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence,” Trump said on his social network. “Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World. This “Show” is just a “slap in the face” to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day.”

Trump had been trashing Bad Bunny since the halftime show performer was announced last fall.

However, it appeared soon after that Trump had indeed watched the show, as video surfaced from Mar-a-Lago showing that the Super Bowl party there was indeed watching the Bad Bunny show and not Turning Point USA’s counterprogram that was headlined by Kid Rock.

According to The Athletic, the Turning Point show drew as many as 6.1 concurrent viewers on YouTube, although it was also shown on Rumble and a couple of minor cable news channels. It was announced with just a couple of hours warning that the Turning Point halftime show would not be streaming on X, as previously announced, due to “licensing restrictions.”

It’s not clear yet how many people watched the Bad Bunny halftime show, but last year’s halftime show drew about 133 million viewers.

Other than from the president, the Bad Bunny halftime show received mostly positive reviews.

” Bad Bunny did something quite novel with his Super Bowl LX performance in Santa Clara, Calif., on Sunday night, turning it into an extended presentation on how to make a global opportunity intimate, personal and historically specific,” the New York Times said in their review.

Meanwhile, Variety reported that the Kid Rock halftime show had been prerecorded. The performer could be seen clearly lip-syncing at various points.
