To be completely honest, former First Lady Melania Trump was quite the quiet, brooding type during her husband’s time in office. Frankly, it seemed to most people that she didn’t really even have any desire to be there in the first place — a theory that only grew stronger after Donald Trump lost his second bid for the presidency, and Melania seemed as though she couldn’t get out of there fast enough if she tried.
Honestly, as much as I can’t stand the God-awful woman, God knows her husband has put her through a hell of a lot through their 20 some odd years together and I can’t imagine it was all that comfortable to go through a good portion of it in the public’s eye.
But as it turns out, at least according to one very close insider and former Trump administration official, Melania wasn’t just bitter, quiet, and brooding — she was vindictive as Hell.
A while back, former short-lived Trump White House Press Secretary, White House Communications Director, and Chief of Staff to the First Lady, Stephanie Grisham, released her own tell-all memoir, I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw in The Trump White House.

The book was unsurprisingly chock full of tons of bombshell, never-before-seen revelations. But in all of those explosive claims and exposed scandals, it seems Melania’s vindictive response to one of her husband’s infidelity scandals got somewhat swept under the rug.
Grisham echoed our own aforementioned thoughts — Melania Trump had a tendency to stay out of the spotlight during her husband’s presidency. However, the former Trump official says the now ex-First Lady was “unleashed” by the news of her husband’s alleged sordid affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels, ultimately motivating her to try to publicly humiliate her presidential husband.
Grisham points out Melania’s first State of the Union, where the then-First Lady attended the event hanging off the arm of a rather handsome military aide “because the Capitol floors were too slippery.” But the former insider said, “I laughed to myself because I’d seen the woman navigate dirt roads in her heels.”
In another instance of Melania taking a public dig at her husband, Grisham claims the then-First Lady had her draft a tweet, in which she asked the public to give her privacy. Grisham originally wrote the tweet on Melania’s behalf to explain to Americans that she wanted to turn her focus to being a good mother, wife, and first lady. Melania allegedly made her cut the word “wife” from the social media post.
The former insider and official went on to explain in her tell-all that Melania never bought her husband’s cover story about the alleged affair for even a second. “This is Donald’s problem,” Melania allegedly said of the Stormy Daniels scandal. “He got himself into this mess. He can fix it by himself.”
To top things off, Melania allegedly slept through election night and vehemently objected to the White House party her husband wanted to throw, fearing a massive COVID outbreak in her home.
It really seems like Melania might hate Donald Trump as much as we do.
