It’s certainly no well-kept secret that Donald Trump is about as vain, vapid, and shallow as they come, but apparently, he cared a whole lot more about not just his own image, but the physical appearance of those around him a whole lot more than we realized.
It was so important to him, in fact, that it led one now-former member of his inner circle to revamp her entire looks entirely, just to hopefully appease her boss.
Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham recently appeared on Johanna Maska’s podcast, Press Advance, where she revealed that she became so “indoctrinated” by Donald Trump, that she began to alter her own physical appearance to try to meet his high standards of what a woman should look and dress like.
“I had already been indoctrinated into his way of thinking,” Grisham told Maska in a recent podcast episode, titled, What Women of the White House Think of the Last Woman Standing. “I wore heels every day even if I was chasing in a field.”

“Because you knew Trump liked you dressing a certain way.”
Grisham explained that she felt obligated to keep up with and cater to Donald’s lavish preferences and standards when it came to her physical appearance, in large part because she had personally seen his reaction to those who didn’t.
“I changed my whole way of dressing and thinking on my appearance,” she admitted.
When the podcast host asked Grisham if Trump had ever taken issue with or made disparaging remarks about Nikki Haley’s appearance — who was once a member of his cabinet and is now his only remaining Republican opponent in the 2024 presidential race — Grisham said he didn’t, because Haley always fit the physical bill Donald was looking for.
“So Nicki Haley, you know, she fit his profile just fine: attractive woman, always dressed quite well. Nice figure. That kind of thing.”
“So I don’t remember him telling a negative thing about her and I think it’s because she fit his profile.”
However, not everyone was so lucky, as was the case with one Arizona lawmaker, who apparently caught Trump’s ire because she wore a lot of sleeveless dresses and the then-president found her arms unattractive.
“I can remember him wanting me to tell a senator in Arizona not to wear sleeveless dresses… because her arms were very unattractive,” Grisham explained.
Of course, Trump didn’t have the gumption to tell the woman himself, so he sent his press secretary to do his dirty work for him, allegedly telling Grisham, “Stephanie I can’t say it to her, you gotta go tell her.”
