“Fox Is In Big Trouble”: Conservative Publisher Warns Massive Lawsuit Will Expose The “Dishonest” Network, Poses A Serious Threat To “Alt-Right Media” As A Whole

There's no escaping this now.

Highly controversial, Conservative Fox News Network was handed yet another brutally damning loss when a judge slammed down their attempts to dismiss a lawsuit lodged against them by Smartmatic voting systems this week. This ruling allows the lawsuit against Fox to move forward through the courts, with absolutely no path for the alt-Right network to stop it — and now one Conservative editor is warning that this move will not only serve to ultimately expose Fox’s deep-seated corruption behind closed doors but will also pose a dire threat to “alt-Right media” as a whole.

Smartmatic voting systems are only actually utilized by one single county in the entire United States — Los Angeles County — but that did absolutely nothing to staunch Fox’s most notable talking heads, like Maria Bartiromo, Judge Jeanine Pirro, and various others, from pegging the Smartmatic company as a contributor to the election “fraud” that cost Donald Trump the 2020 win for the White House. Funnily enough, as soon as the voting systems company began to fire off lawsuits left and right, the scandal-ridden president conveniently went quiet with his previously incessant attacks against Smartmatic.

However, the damage is already done.

Building off a legal analysis by former U.S. Attorney and Deputy Assistant Attorney General, law professor Harry Litman, editor-in-chief for the Conservative outlet Bulwark, Charlie Sykes, has spoken out and warned that this lawsuit is going to ultimately accomplish two very damning things for the Right-wing world — exposing Fox for their incessant “dishonesty” and posing a massive threat to all the other alt-Right outlets who are posing as “news.”

In an appearance on MSNBC, Sykes said, “Fox is in big trouble.”

“This was a terrible legal defeat,” the Conservative publisher explained. “I’ve been in the media for a long time. I’ve followed libel suits. As Harry points out the bar is high. You have to establish they acted in reckless disregard of the truth, and you watch the clips you played from Fox again and again. That is textbook reckless disregard of the truth. It is falsehoods repeated again and again. And the fact is, they were told it was false. They knew it was false. And so you’re looking at a lawsuit, the top line is $2.7 billion. That’s a lot of money even for the Fox corporation, and I think this litigation is going to get messier.”

Sykes goes on to explain that because the network’s attempt to dismiss the suit was shot down, the Smartmatic company will be able to move forward with discovery in the case, which could ultimately force Fox News to turn over the contents of email accounts and other private conversations that could serve to expose the controversial Conservative network in a way they can’t come back from.

Smartmatic’s lawsuit, of course, isn’t the only case that Fox News is facing for similar false election and voting claims, as Dominion Voting Systems continues to move forward with its suit against the network.

Speaking of the network’s approval to “report” misleading and blatantly false lies about widespread “fraud” in the 2020 election, Sykes said, “I think you’re going to find out how incredibly dishonest the process was.”

“This poses — this lawsuit is not just one of many other lawsuits. I think this kind of lawsuit may provide us the kind of accountability that has been — that has escaped us so far,” he explained. “But it also potentially poses an existential threat to any of these alternative reality media that think they have a license to traffic in this kind of falsehood. So, this is worth keeping a very bright spotlight on, and they really have to be nervous in the Fox corporate suites about this lawsuit.”
