The various election results throughout 2025 have shown that the election victory in 2024 that propelled Donald Trump back into office did not represent any kind of permanent political realignment.
And now, it appears Fox News has noticed.
This week, in one of the last elections of the year, Miami held its election for mayor, and Democrat Eileen Higgins defeated Republican Emilio Gonzalez to become the first Democrat in three decades, and the first woman ever, to win that office.
On Fox and Friends on Wednesday, Fox host Brian Kilmeade addressed the result and other recent ones.

“Look at the numbers, get the experts in there, and if the numbers show the Hispanic vote went heavily for the Democrat, that is a warning sign for next year,” Kilmeade said on the show. “They love him at the border,” Kilmeade said of the Hispanic vote. “They don’t necessarily love the aggressive tactics of going to Home Depot or landscape trucks, dragging people off.”
The Miami race marks another Republican defeat, and Brian Kilmeade’s dire warnings for Trump are falling on deaf ears.https://t.co/Gzro2U8FOa

For a network which has never been shy about either vilifying immigrants, or praising doing so as brilliant politics, the comments were somewhat jarring. And, as pointed out by Daily Express, some Fox viewers weren’t very happy with what they heard from Kilmeade on the show.
Your comment this morning about ICE being aggressive and shouldn’t go after all illegals bc hispanics are taking it personally – wow!?!?! Really Brian?!?! Aggressive?! You feed into the lies of the left. SHAME ON YOU!

What? This morning you said ICE shouldn’t be going to Home Depot to arrest illegals. You said they should target criminals. ILLEGALS are criminals. If ICE agents don’t have a current lead, are they just supposed to take the day off? We voted for all of them to be deported.
