Hall Of Famer Jerome Bettis Fires Back At Trump After He Posted An AI-Generated Image Of Himself In Steelers Uniform

Donald Trump recently shared an obviously AI-generated image of himself in a football uniform. A Pittsburgh Steelers uniform, in fact, bearing the number of the legendary running back, Jerome Bettis, #47. Trump has made a habit of posting, and in some cases, trying to sell AI or photoshopped images of himself as Superman, an old west sheriff, and an astronaut.

Bettis, however, isn’t having any of it. PennLive reports that Bettis had some pretty sharp words for the ex-president, telling him point-blank that it’s time to “hang it up.”

“I spent 13 seasons in the NFL, and of course a decade with the Steelers,” Bettis shared in a video on Instagram. “We brought a Super Bowl home to Pittsburgh. I know this city, and I love this city. We work hard to make things happen. No hot air. No bull. This is what defines the Steel City, and it is the opposite of what Donald Trump stands for.”

“Donald Trump has made promise after promise to the city of Pittsburgh, and time-after-time he has failed to deliver,” he wrote. “And I don’t know if you have seen him lately rambling, confused, falling asleep. He’s washed up, and it’s time for Trump to hang it up. And it’s time for us to elect a leader who will fight for us. Someone who is going to roll up their sleeves and get the job done. Not just complain about it at a half-empty venue.”

Then he fully endorsed Kamala Harris, as can be seen on his Threads account. Oh, and also further complimented Trump by comparing him to a “washed-up” football player.

“Donald, trust me: retirement is so much better,” he wrote. “Pittsburgh is Steelers Nation and Kamala Country. Tonight, we beat the Jets. On November 5 we beat Trump. Sometimes an old washed-up player needs to realize it’s time to hang it up. Pittsburgh: let’s retire Donald Trump. Vote KAMALA HARRIS.”

As @LillianVikingDK noted in her post on X (formerly Twitter), that fake image of Trump wearing Bettis’ football jersey is truly “embarrassing.” Trump looks about as athletic as a sack of potatoes that needs to wear a bra.

And others agreed with Lillian.

Some remember that Trump has other fries to fry (yes, I’m referring to his McDonald’s stunt) if he loses the election.

But perhaps @mewheels said it best:

Look, Trump is only interested in something if he can make money from it or have s*x with it. And you can be sure that if he wins this election, we’ll all be f@cked all over again.
