Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign started Labor Day with a bang, after firing a few well-placed kicks in her rival Donald Trump’s campaign. Indeed, her campaign started the holiday by posting snarky remarks from the former president, in which he disparages American workers.
In one of the videos posted by her campaign, we see Trump yukking it up with X CEO Elon Musk about the time that he fired employees who were bold enough to try and form a union at one of his companies, according to Raw Story.
“They go on strike and you say, ‘That’s okay, you’re all gone you’re all gone, every one of your is gone!'” Trump said as Musk laughed in the background. “You are the greatest!”

Gawd, how disgusting.
Trump has a piddly net worth of $4.1 billion compared to Musk’s $247.3 billion. He’s clearly brown-nosing Musk. This kind of behavior, coming from Trump, should be shocking. But it no longer is.
Harris’s campaign posted a second video. This time around Trump is shown on Fox News complaining about unions securing huge pay increases for their members.
“With unions, they get their five percent, they get their two percent, they get another three percent, four percent, all of a sudden they’re making more money than the people that own the company!” Trump kvetched.

Trump is truly a vile man. This is something that actually almost NEVER happens. According to statistics, the ratio of CEO compensation to worker compensation has ballooned since the 1970s.
This hypocrisy isn’t a good look for Trump, who’s trying to encourage union workers to support his presidential campaign. Fortunately, his efforts haven’t worked, and most unions have thrown their support to Harris and Democrats. This is understandable because the Democratic party has generally been more empathetic to organized labor, whereas Republicans have turned a deaf ear to them.
Trump had better start paying attention because Harris now says she’s planning the biggest digital ad campaign in U.S. history. Indeed the amount is astronomical. She plans to spend $370 million on advertising between early September and Election Day on Tuesday, November 5.
All I can say is “You go girl!”
