Early this morning, the former president took to his Truth Social account and self-announced that he would be holding a “General News Conference” at his Palm Beach, FL, golf resort and post-White House home.
Trump’s announcement was very vague and did not include specifics about what sort of topics he would be touching on during the press briefing event.
Shortly after that announcement, Donald’s former press secretary and a former close friend of his wife Melania, Stephanie Grisham, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and warned Americans that this is a clear sign that the ex-president is “panicking” in the midst of Harris’ resounding success.
“Re: Trump’s self-announced press conference today at 2 pm: He’s panicking. I’ve seen this play many times. He thinks his team is failing him & no one can speak better/’save’ his campaign/defend him but him. He hates the coverage Harris is getting & thinks only he can fix it,” Grisham wrote in her post.
Upon watching the press briefing, it certainly seemed as though Grisham’s assessment was correct.

During the presser event, we saw Trump flit from one topic to another, to another, ranging from his ear injury to potshots at the press, to comparing himself to Martin Luther King Jr., to once again bragging about how loved, revered, and respected he is by North Korea’s murderous dictator Kim Jong Un.
And now, the Harris Campaign is capitalizing on the opportunity to troll the 78-year-old Republican over every last bizarre word.
The Kamala Harris Campaign kicked off with a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), that featured a video clip of Trump at the press briefing, closing his eyes, shaking his head, and saying, “Oh give me a break.”
“A feeble Trump holds a press conference to lie and yell about his noticeably smaller rally crowd sizes,” the KamalaHQ account wrote in their caption of the unflattering video clip.

But the Harris Team’s troll game didn’t stop there.
The KamalaHQ account proceeded to basically give a play-by-play of the Republican nominee’s pressing event, complete with all of Donald’s greatest hits…

The 2020 transfer of power:
Q: You just said that there was a peaceful transfer of power after 2020. You didn’t concede, there was a violent insurrection at the Capitol…
Trump: What’s your question?
Q: My question is, you really think there was a peaceful transfer of power?

And even Kamala’s trailblazing rise in the polls:
Q: Why do you think Kamala Harris is rising in the polls?
Trump: Well… she’s a woman. She represents certain… groups of people pic.twitter.com/1NqzFE5J4b
