There’s an elephant in the room that Donald Trump is desperately and rather awkwardly trying to get ahead of, and it just so happens to be his own vice president running mate pick.
J.D. Vance, a notoriously far-Right Ohio Republican Senator and now former President Donald Trump’s official 2024 running mate choice, currently serves as one of the biggest Trump sycophants inside Donald’s inner circle. However, Vance did not always feel this way about the guy who’s now his boss.
Recently, we reported on the resurfaced revelations from Vance’s old Yale Law School roommate, in which the guy came prepared with screenshot receipts that showed Vance absolutely trashing the same guy he’s now trying to ride into the White House with.
Among those revelations was a variety of trash talk against Donald Trump, ranging from Vance referring to Donald as “America’s Hitler” to comparing Donald Trump to opioids, to openly admitting that he believed Trump’s multiple sexual assault accusers.

However, as Vance began to mount his own political career he, like so many others, quickly turned tail and began to lick the proverbial Trump boots in an effort to get ahead, shamelessly morphing into a relentless and insufferable MAGA supporter as he launched his Senate campaign.
Now, with Vance potentially riding Donald’s coattails straight into one of the highest offices in this nation, people have had a whole lot of questions, and rightfully so.
It seems Donald is now attempting to somehow get ahead of this awkward elephant in the room, as he openly addressed Vance’s past criticisms of him in a joint interview with Fox News’ Jesse Watters and his running mate.
The sit-down was taped on Saturday and aired on Monday and features Donald Trump attempting to explain his reasoning behind his running mate choice while attempting to address those old Vance attacks.
“We’ve always had a good chemistry,” Trump said of the Ohio senator. “And originally JD was probably not for me, but he didn’t know me. And then when we got to know each other he liked me, maybe more than anybody liked me. And he would stick up for me, and he would fight for the worker as much as I fight for the worker.”
“We just had an automatic chemistry,” the ex-president went on to awkwardly explain. “And I actually endorsed him in Ohio, for the Senate. And he ended up winning against a very tough field. Very tough field.”
This is getting a little weird, Donald.
