Late Sunday night, Donald Trump posted a string of messages on Truth Social while most Americans were asleep.
The president jumped from topic to topic, targeting Democrats, scolding Republicans, and even demanding action from the Supreme Court.
One of his most striking reposts called for military tribunals, claiming the justice system is compromised. He also shared posts that accused Democratic veterans in Congress of encouraging the military to ignore illegal orders.
He then turned on Republicans he once embraced, calling Sen. Rand Paul, Rep. Thomas Massie, and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene “lowlifes.” It was a sudden sweep of insults aimed at people who have supported him in the past.

Then, just after midnight, Trump shifted to economic pressure. At 12:15 a.m., he posted a long message demanding that the Supreme Court act on his tariffs. He insisted that the benefits of those tariffs are only beginning to show and said the country is on the edge of “historic levels” of revenue.
Here is the full message he posted:
“Despite the massive amount of money being made by the United States of America, Hundreds of Billions of Dollars, as a direct result of Tariffs being charged to other countries, the full benefit of the Tariffs has not yet been calculated in that many of the buyers of goods and products, in order to avoid paying the Tariffs in the short term, “STOCK UP” by purchasing far more inventory than they can use. That heavy inventory purchase is now, however, wearing thin, and soon Tariffs will be paid on everything they apply to, without avoidance, and the amounts payable to the USA will SKYROCKET, over and above the already historic levels of dollars received. These payments will be RECORD SETTING, and put our Nation on a new and unprecedented course. We are already the “hottest” Country anywhere in the World, but this Tariff POWER will bring America National Security and Wealth the likes of which has never been seen before. Those opposing us are serving hostile foreign interests that are not aligned with the success, safety and prosperity of the USA. They couldn’t care less about us. I look so much forward to the United States Supreme Court’s decision on this urgent and time sensitive matter so that we can continue, in an uninterrupted manner to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DJT”
His tariff argument is now before the Supreme Court, and early signs suggest the justices are not buying his claims. If he loses, he could be forced to refund tariffs already paid. In another post, he warned such a ruling would cost the country two trillion dollars, although he did not explain how he got that number.
Public opinion is not on his side either. A Fox News poll this month found that only 35% approve of his handling of tariffs. 63% disapprove. Even on the broader economy, more voters said his policies have hurt them than helped.
