Recently, Trump left CNN anchors speechless during his Board of Peace address in Washington, DC.
“President Peña of Paraguay is here… President, thank you very much. Young, handsome guy. It’s always nice to be young and handsome. Doesn’t mean we have to like you. I don’t like young, handsome men. Women, I like. Men, I don’t have any interest,” Trump said.

Trump continued to praise the leaders in attendance. “Today, it’s a tremendous honor to welcome you all… These are the greatest world leaders. We’ve been doing a really good job. We’ve had a great relationship, and I appreciate you being here. We settled 8 wars, 9th to come, it turned out to be a tougher one.”
He also addressed the goals of the new Board. “We will help Gaza. We will straighten it out. We will make it successful. We will make it peaceful. And we will do things like that in other spots,” Trump said.
Regarding the United Nations, Trump added, “The Board of Peace is going to almost be looking over the United Nations and making sure it runs properly. We’re going to strengthen up the United Nations. We’re going to make sure its facilities are good if they need help, and they need help, money-wise, we can help them money-wise. And we’re going to make sure the United Nations is viable.”
The gathering itself included representatives from at least 40 countries. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Argentine President Javier Milei were both present.
Trump promised a multi-billion-dollar reconstruction plan for Gaza and claimed over $5 billion in pledges, though details about contributors remain unclear. The White House said discussions would cover humanitarian aid, the National Committee for Gaza, and plans for an international stabilization force.
The speech came amid protests. Reports noted pro-Palestinian demonstrators outside the venue with signs reading, “Donald Trump go to hell.”
Trump’s style remained unmistakable. He addressed each leader, praised accomplishments, and emphasized the Board’s role in global peace. He framed the initiative as a way to strengthen the UN while asserting its own influence, making clear that the Board could operate independently if needed.
