Things got rather awkward and downright weird last night when Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade interviewed scandal-plagued former president and 2024 Republican front-runner Donald Trump during a bizarre tour of Donald’s private jet, where Kilmeade decided to very awkwardly press the ex-president about his apparent recent weight loss.
Donald Trump and the right-wing news outlet have had a troubled relationship over the last couple of years, to say the very least.
In fact, to add even more drama and weirdness to this whole plane interview incident, the former president had taken to his social media to out-and-out bash the network on the very same day that he invited Kilmeade into his private jet.
Writing in a Truth Social post shortly before he went onstage for his Laconia, NH, rally last night, the big guy fumed:
Hard to believe how one-sided FoxNews is – What a difference from the past (Likewise The Wall Street Journal!). No wonder the Republican base no longer cares about them. It was all about Ron DeSantis, and now it’s the BIRDBRAIN SHOW, but the curtains are coming down on that one on Tuesday evening. MAGA!”

But nevertheless, Donnie just keeps on coming back for interviews with the network — almost undoubtedly because he knows full well they’re going to lob softballs at him to avoid pissing him off even worse than they already have.
In just the last couple of days alone, the former president has sat for weird interviews with the likes of Fox’s Bret Baier and Lawrence Jones and now Kilmeade has added his name to the list.
The interview opened with Donald asking the Fox host what he thought of his private jet that he’s nauseatingly dubbed, “Air Trump One.” Kilmeade couldn’t have gushed any harder if he tried to, responding, “I think it’s fantastic. Now, this is a new plane from the one you had me on when you were doing The Apprentice?”
But don’t worry, Kilmeade eventually got to the real hard-hitting questions that everyone is dying for answers to when he asked, “I haven’t seen you in a while. You look like you’re in fighting shape. How much weight did you lose?!”
With an expression that only Donald Trump could truly pull off, the slightly less big guy answered, “Maybe 15, maybe 20,” before adding that he lost it “the hard way.”
