He is so predictable

Donald Trump’s phone lock screen is going viral—again—and for the most on-brand reason possible: it’s still a picture of himself.

A recent photo shows the former president holding his phone as he steps off Air Force One. Zoom in, and you’ll spot the same lockscreen image of Trump pointing triumphantly—an image he’s reportedly had as his background since at least 2023.

Trump’s Selfie Obsession

The image first made waves while Trump was golfing in early 2023, and it’s since become a recurring punchline whenever he’s seen in public holding his phone. Whether on the tarmac, on the course, or during a photo op, that familiar lock screen appears time and again.

One viral post from October 2024 reignited the trend, with users resurfacing a moment where Trump was spotted showing the lock screen during a flight. A composite image shared widely on X (formerly Twitter) included the same now-infamous photo displayed on his phone.

Adding to the intrigue? A visible text message from longtime ally Roger Stone appears on the screen in the latest snapshot, fueling even more chatter online.

Internet Reacts: Narcissistic or Just Classic Trump?

Social media users had a field day. One user quipped, “Of course, his lock screen is himself. Who else would it be?” Another joked, “When your biggest fan is you.”

Even celebrity blogger Mike Sington chimed in with a tweet featuring the zoomed-in image, captioning it simply: There he is!

A Pattern That Won’t Quit

At this point, the lock screen has become as recognizable as Trump’s red hat. The consistency, while predictable, seems to speak volumes about the former president’s self-image—and maybe even his branding savvy.

As for public opinion on using yourself as your lock screen? Let’s say it’s polarizing. Some call it confidence. Others, well… not so much. But if you’re Donald Trump, it might just be business as usual.
