That face says it all

“He’s pissed.”
That’s how one person on X (formerly Twitter) described Donald Trump’s face during his military parade on Saturday. And the internet quickly agreed.

The event was supposed to be big. It marked the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army. It also landed on Trump’s 79th birthday. He got his tanks. He got his flyovers. He even received a flag during the ceremony.

But what he didn’t get was a crowd.

Photos from Washington, D.C., showed rows of empty seats. The streets were quiet. The cheering was weak. Even Trump’s own officials looked bored. One photo showed Melania Trump with her eyes closed. Another caught Marco Rubio mid-yawn. The energy just wasn’t there.

People online had a lot to say. Alex Cole shared a photo of Trump looking frustrated.

He clearly wasn’t the only one who noticed. The internet joined in fast. Some cracked jokes about the tiny crowd. Others mocked the awkward vibe. A few called it the worst celebration in history. Some compared it to a cheap North Korean parade. One even said Trump looked like he wanted a refund.

They also pointed out the cost. Reports say the parade cost between $25 million and $45 million. That’s a lot of money for a party with barely anyone watching.

While Trump stood smiling in front of tanks and soldiers, protests were happening across the country. The “No Kings” movement held events in over 2,000 locations. In cities like New York and Philadelphia, thousands of people took to the streets. They held signs that said, “We want leaders, not kings,” and “Stop the lies.”

The difference was clear. Trump had tanks. The protesters had people.

Trump did not say much about the crowd size. He waved. He smiled. But the photos said it all.
