In A Twist Of Irony, Bush-Era Chief Of Staff Suggests The Secret Service Informed On Trump, Led To FBI Search: “They Have A Responsibility To Report A Crime”

Wouldn't that be something?

Former Bush-era Chief of Staff Karl Roves offered up his own theory on who the Mar-a-Lago mole is that informed on ex-President Donald Trump to the FBI and led to the search and seizure warrant raid against his Palm Beach estate — and he believes it was a member of the US Secret Service, due in large part to the fact that agents are beholden to laws and regulations that require them to report crimes.

In the aftermath of the August 8th FBI raid against Mar-a-Lago, the theories and speculations surrounding the existence and identity of an inside mole have been abundant, to say the least. Even the former president and his legal team have made it more than clear that they want a name.

Just recently, Donald’s niece, Mary Trump, theorized that the “mole” was Trump’s own son-in-law Jared Kushner was the one who tipped off the FBI and the DOJ about what his father-in-law was doing behind closed doors at his Mar-a-Lago compound. Mary speculated on Kushner’s financial ties to Saudi Arabia and suggested that he could be in some trouble that’s left him desperate for a bargaining chip before it all hits the fan.

Speaking with Dean Obeidallah she said, “And we need to think about who, if it, who could also be implicated in this that would need as big a play as turning Donald in, in order to get out of trouble, or at least to mitigate the trouble they’re in.”

Kushner has already publicly responded to this theory and dismissed the notion that he turned on his wife’s father while ripping the media for even daring to report on it.

But now, Rove is out with his own theory that certainly makes a lot of sense.

Speaking with America Reports host John Roberts and touched on the recent news that Donald Trump was allegedly in contact with the National Archives and Records Administration back in June on the topic of returning the documents he took, but ultimately claimed to not have any.

Rove theorized:

The Secret Service – and this is just my own personal conjecture, no information other than simply knowing the Secret Service is there – they have no statutory responsibility over classified material.

But they are sworn federal law officers. They are law enforcement, and they have a responsibility to report a crime, and particularly after a letter is sent from one of the president’s lawyers saying we don’t have any more classified material…”

He went on to state that if the people close to Donald Trump went along with his lie and told the National Archives that the president didn’t possess anything of interest, Secret Service agents would be required under law to act.

If somebody sent a letter and said we don’t have classified material, and somebody in the Secret Service said I have seen classified material still in the walls of Mar-a-Lago and had a responsibility to report that through the chain of command or maybe directly to the counterintelligence division.

They would have somebody who had said, in essence. you have been misled, whether it was a deliberate lie or a lie based in ignorance, somebody told you there’s no more classified material here, there is classified material here.”
