In an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press that aired on Sunday morning, President Donald Trump stormed out of the studio, something that, even at his most contentious, he hasn’t done that often over the years.
Trump’s departure came after Welker challenged his claims about fraud in last week’s California election.
“They’re cheating on the election,” Trump claimed. “All I have to do is look … and I listen to people and let’s see what happens.”
WOW — Trump crashes out and cuts his interview with Welker short as she presses him on his lack of evidence for claiming elections are rigged
“You’re either crooked or you’re stupid. Let’s call it quits. Because I’ve had enough. Thank you darling,” he tells her.”

Per CNBC, “Welker attempted to press Trump for evidence to back up his claims, which he did not provide, and redirect Trump to a question about acting AG Blanche several times before the president pulled the plug on the interview and stormed off the set.”

“Let’s call it quits because I’ve had enough, thank you, darling, have a good time,” the president said.
According to The Daily Beast, the incident has sparked new speculation about Trump’s mental state, especially from social media users- including one U.S. senator.
The biggest story in America is a president who has completely lost touch with reality. Who thinks the FBI let all the January 6 rioters into the Capitol, that he really won the 2020 election, that the Iran War is going well. Who, when occasionally confronted w reality, panics. https://t.co/xHpxSUqA1T

Again, he gets graded on a curve. Dude is losing his shit because a reporter pushes back a bit on his lies, and he loses his temper, insults her, and walks out of the interview. And yet, he keeps being presented as a sane and normal person. https://t.co/rb7aB0o8Qh

I love how so many people think women are too emotional to be president and still support this little snowflake. https://t.co/Ajt5HSIM3H

This is unhinged. If a family member behaved this way, you’d worry about them. If a CEO behaved like this, the board would meet. He’s living in an alternate reality and furious when a person won’t indulge his fantasies. https://t.co/YQM9ekhnis
