In an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press that aired on Sunday morning, President Donald Trump stormed out of the studio, something that, even at his most contentious, he hasn’t done that often over the years.

Trump’s departure came after Welker challenged his claims about fraud in last week’s California election.

“They’re cheating on the election,” Trump claimed. “All I have to do is look … and I listen to people and let’s see what happens.”

Per CNBC, “Welker attempted to press Trump for evidence to back up his claims, which he did not provide, and redirect Trump to a question about acting AG Blanche several times before the president pulled the plug on the interview and stormed off the set.”

“Let’s call it quits because I’ve had enough, thank you, darling, have a good time,” the president said.

According to The Daily Beast, the incident has sparked new speculation about Trump’s mental state, especially from social media users- including one U.S. senator.
