Fox Nation, the streaming service associated with Fox News, has an annual event called the Patriot Awards.

Per The Tampa Bay Times, when the awards took place in 2019, it was “designed to be a nonpolitical celebration of community heroes… The cast of presenters may spend their days defending President Trump and dismantling those who oppose him, but on this night, Fox aimed to keep politics out of it.”

“God bless America!” that year’s host, and now Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, said while opening the show, per the newspaper. “Yes! You can say that here!”

Coming up is the 7th annual edition of the awards, and Fox has announced that this year’s Patriot of the Year award will go to First Lady Melania Trump. With Hegseth now serving in government, Sean Hannity will host the show for the second straight year, while several Fox News personalities — Bill Hemmer, Dana Perino, Martha MacCallum, Benjamin Hall, Joey Jones, Will Cain, Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters — will appear as “special Fox News guests.”

The Patriot of the Year in 2024 was, perhaps unsurprisingly, Donald Trump, shortly after his second election as president.

“The trophy is shaped like a waving American flag,” Fox said of the trophy that honorees will receive. “Its flagpole includes nails from Trinity Church, where George Washington worshiped, and one stripe is crafted from his famous elm tree. The stars are hand-laid, made from musket balls and bullets used in the Revolutionary War.”

The event will take place Thursday night, from The Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Brookville, New York, and will stream only on Fox Nation.
