Donald Trump, this week, referred to a female reporter as “piggy” after she asked him a question about the Epstein files release, in a moment that might have been monumentally scandalous had any other president done it. Or, some argued, if Trump had done it in his first presidency.

The moment has been defended from the White House briefing room podium, and by a female Republican member of Congress, with the world mostly moving on to the next thing, or at least the next chapter of the Epstein saga. However, someone on X posted a horrifying image of the president, looking like, well, a pig:

Depictions of Trump as a pig are not new and have been a staple of both memes and in-person protest signs throughout Trump’s time in political life. The Getty Images photo library has numerous examples of such photos from throughout the years. Gov. Gavin Newsom of California got in the act himself:

Social media users, meanwhile, had lots to say about the original Trump/pig picture, with lots of Orwell references to share.
