She always picks the wrong time.

Wearing a black and white polka dot dress with a satin belt and pleated skirt, Ivanka Trump stood before the Western Wall, her blonde hair neatly down her back. The photo was taken during her visit to Israel after her father, President Donald Trump, announced what he called a U.S.-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

The photo looked perfect, carefully posed and meant to inspire peace. But it came off as hollow. Trump had just told reporters, “The war is over,” while hostages were still waiting to be freed.

Not long after, her post sparked outrage online. Many called it “disgusting” and “tone deaf,” accusing her of using faith and image to clean up her father’s political moment. The backlash grew fast. Some even called her “a traitor” for showing up in Israel just days after reports said the ceasefire her father claimed to broker was already falling apart.

Later that evening, Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner appeared at Hostages Square in Tel Aviv to meet with families of those still held captive.
