Her fans did what fans always do. One said, “Loved this color on you.” A second wrote, “Gorgeous as always.” Another added, “Obsessed with the pant suit and vibrant color.” A long line of similar comments followed, almost like they were all reading from the same script.

Then the critics walked in, and the mood changed fast.

People questioned why someone from a political family that pushed the country into stress and shutdowns felt comfortable enjoying a fashion moment. One user wrote, “I wish I could look this unbothered amidst family drama. You do look stunning tho!” Another kept it short and sharp: “Savoring, eh? Entitled child.”

And honestly, that comment held the whole internet in one sentence.

This is not Ivanka’s first round with the word “tone deaf.” It has followed her everywhere this year, especially since her father returned to power. For many Americans, seeing Ivanka celebrate outfits and photo angles while families struggle with bills, food, and jobs feels strange, and a bit insulting.

Earlier this month she faced the same storm after her trip to the Think Health Summit in Bentonville. She posted photos from that event too, praising farmers as “healthcare providers” and talking about food donations.

The comments section did not hold back. One person said, “Quite tone deaf as so many Americans are fearing not knowing where their next wholesome meal is coming from. Please consider picking up THAT banner.” Another said, “How about ensuring healthcare for them??? Tell dad…”
