It seems that even family members of the biggest Republican figures can’t resist the magnetic pull of Taylor Swift. Over the weekend, Ivanka Trump and her daughter Arabella attended Swift’s Eras Tour in Miami, despite Donald Trump’s recent angry comments about the pop star. Just weeks ago, Donald Trump declared, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” after she endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election. Taylor Swift, known for her massive influence on young voters, has been a thorn in Trump’s side for years, ever since she started speaking up about political matters.

People confirmed that Ivanka Trump, 42, and her 13-year-old daughter, Arabella, were spotted at Taylor Swift’s concert at Hard Rock Stadium. Arabella is Ivanka’s eldest child with her husband, Jared Kushner, and they also have two sons, Joseph and Theodore. To celebrate Arabella’s 13th birthday in July, Ivanka shared a series of photos, including one of Arabella with a birthday cake that had the phrase “boys only want love if it’s torture,” a line from Swift’s 2014 song “Blank Space.”

Donald Trump has a history of not getting along with famous people, especially when they don’t agree with him. This is not the first time he has fought with celebrities. Back in 2016, Trump called NFL players “unpatriotic” because some of them knelt during the national anthem to protest against police violence. But instead of stopping the protests, more players spoke out, and it brought even more attention to the problem.

In the same way, Taylor Swift’s support for Harris has not hurt her. Instead, it has shown just how powerful she is, especially with young people. Trump said, “She’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat, and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.” But so far, Swift has only gotten more popular.

Swift is not just a singer. She is also someone who cares about important issues. In 2018, she asked her fans to vote for Democratic candidates in her home state of Tennessee. After she did this, over 65,000 people registered to vote in just 24 hours, according to Vote.org. This shows just how much power she has to get people involved in politics.

Donald Trump seems to worry about this. He said, “I was not a Taylor Swift fan… but she’s very liberal. And she’ll probably pay a price for it.” But the truth is, Swift’s fans are mostly young people, and many of them are now old enough to vote. Her influence could make a big difference in the 2024 election.

Trump often attacks people who don’t agree with him. This is something he has done many times in the past. In 2003, a country music group called the Dixie Chicks faced a lot of anger from Republicans after they said they didn’t agree with President George W. Bush and the Iraq War. They lost fans, but over time, people started to see them as brave for speaking out. Now, with social media, celebrities like Taylor Swift can share their opinions directly with millions of people.

Swift also talked about how Trump’s campaign used her image without her permission. She said, “Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation.”

Attacking someone like Taylor Swift isn’t likely to hurt her. If anything, it might make her even more popular and get more young people interested in politics. Ivanka Trump going to Swift’s concert, even after her dad said he hates the singer, shows that Swift’s influence is hard to ignore, even in the Trump family.
