They're onto you, Ivanka.

To be frank, former President Donald Trump is currently facing more scandal and legal peril than most could expect to face in multiple lifetimes, and it’s certainly showing no signs of stopping.

In addition to the historical criminal indictment that recently came out of the infamous Manhattan hush money investigation, Trump is also facing down a likely second round of criminal charges coming out of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ election investigation in the state of Georgia, the massive E. Jean Carroll civil rape and defamation trial in New York, and the Justice Department’s ongoing investigations, spearheaded by Garland-appointed Special Counsel Jack Smith into the Mar-a-Lago stolen document scandal as well as the deadly January 6th Capitol attack and Trump’s overall efforts to overthrow a United States presidential election, which is certainly gaining more and more steam with each passing moment at this point.

But even with all of those hovering over his head these days, Donald Trump’s legal woes get worse still.

Forbes recently broke reporting that confirmed New York Attorney General Letitia James’ $250 million tax fraud investigation into Donald Trump’s family company, the Trump Organization, has settled on a new point of interest as the probe continues to gain force — this time, they’ve set their sights on favorite former First Daughter Ivanka Trump and her emails.

Ironic, is it not?

Forbes’ Zach Everson reported that the former president’s family company is being less than forthcoming with internal company documents that were ordered to be turned over to investigators in the ongoing civil fraud case. Their lack of cooperation has forced Attorney General James’ hand to request Judge Arther Engoron to intervene and set a firm deadline by which the Trump Organization will be forced to comply with the document request.

While this resounding lack of compliance unsurprisingly applies to the entire Trump family within the parameters of the Trump Org business, Everson notes that, of particular interest to the Attorney General, was the notable lack of emails turned over, hailing from Donald’s eldest daughter, Ivanka.

“The [AG’s] letter notes a significant decline in emails turned over from Ivanka Trump, dropping from an average of 1,200 emails per month in the first nine months of 2014 to just 37 emails a month in 2016,” Forbes reports. “The attorney general’s office asked Ivanka’s lawyers about the issue and was unimpressed by their response.”

In her request for intervention sent to Judge Engoron, Attorney General James wrote, “Not only have defendants failed to offer any substantive response to this inquiry, but there have been no documents produced by Ms. Trump.”

The development is interesting, to say the very least, as it came amid the news that Ivanka has broken from her siblings in the case and acquired her own outside counsel, after being represented by the same legal team as her brother in the case up until this point, leading many to wonder if Ivanka is preparing to throw her own family under the bus.
