Vice President JD Vance spent the weekend in Southern California, where he was seen enjoying a family trip to Disneyland.

Accompanied by his wife Usha and two of their children, Vance strolled through Bayou Country, one of the park’s most popular spots. The family rode Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and later dined at the exclusive 21 Royal restaurant inside the park. While no official reason for the visit was announced, local officials believe it was a private getaway.

He is believed to be staying at the Grand Californian Hotel, which sits right next to Disneyland. The Vice President also made a stop at Tom Sawyer’s Island earlier that day. But while he kept his schedule private, the public was still watching.

That’s because someone caught him on camera doing something unexpected. In a short clip posted to X, JD Vance is seen running — and people had a lot to say. It wasn’t the fact that he ran. It was how he ran. The short dash didn’t look powerful or smooth. It looked odd, awkward, and way too soft for someone who often pushes a tough guy image.

The video took off within minutes. Viewers flooded the replies with jokes. Many mocked his style. Some said it looked like a “princess run.” Others asked if that’s how Marines are trained to move.

As the clip made the rounds online, protesters gathered nearby. Demonstrators outside the hotel held signs and chanted. They were there to speak out against federal immigration policies that they say are tearing apart local families.

One Orange County official was not happy with the Vice President’s visit. “I’m offended by the visit, because so many families are being terrorized by the policies from the federal government,” said Supervisor Vicente Sarmiento.

But another local leader, Republican Don Wagner, said the trip could be a chance for both sides to talk. “This could be a chance to engage rather than stay away,” he said.
