Donald Trump is now in a public fight with late-night TV hosts. And yes, he is taking it personally.
The president went on Truth Social again this week, firing shots at Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, and Stephen Colbert. He claimed, without any proof, that Kimmel would be the next to get canceled. “The word is, and it’s a strong word at that, Jimmy Kimmel is NEXT to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes,” Trump posted.
He added, “Fallon will be gone.” Then he blamed them all for destroying what he called “GREAT Television.”
This comes just days after CBS canceled “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” Trump wasted no time celebrating. “I absolutely love that Colbert got fired,” he said. “His talent was even less than his ratings.”

But the internet wasn’t buying it. And neither was Jimmy Kimmel.
Kimmel clapped back with a short but powerful reply on Instagram: “I’m hearing you’re next. Or maybe it’s just another wonderful secret.”
“Wonderful secret” is a reference to the new report from the Wall Street Journal. They said Trump once sent a birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein that had a sketch of a naked woman and the line: “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”
Trump says that letter is fake. But the Journal stood by the story. And now Trump is suing them. He filed a defamation lawsuit demanding $20 billion in damages. He also named the reporters, the parent companies, and even Rupert Murdoch. But it is not stopping the story from spreading.
Comedian Chelsea Handler jumped in too. She responded to Kimmel’s post with this: “It’s amazing a president doesn’t have more important things to do like stop wars, make sure the country is safe from foreign enemies, or simply ensure that every family in this country can put food on their table.”
Then she ended it with a jab of her own. “Pippi Longstocking would be better suited to the office,” she said.
Stephen Colbert also responded to Trump’s attack earlier this week. He looked straight into the camera and said, “Go fuck yourself.” CBS bleeped the line, but the message came through loud and clear.
Meanwhile, Kimmel is still hosting. Fallon is still on the air. Colbert may be off the schedule, but he’s not done.
If Trump thinks canceling comedians is a political win, he might want to check the polls. Most people just want a president who’s focused on the country. Not one who’s online every day feuding with late-night jokes.
