This is way too shady

On Friday, Judge Aileen Cannon sealed the classified evidence in the Trump assassination case. The man accused of trying to kill Trump is not allowed to see it. The public cannot see it either.

Cannon wrote;

“The United States’ Motion and all accompanying material are hereby SEALED, and shall remain preserved in custody of the Classified Information Security Officer, in accordance with established court security procedures, to made available to the appellate court in the event of an appeal.”

The man charged is Ryan Routh. He was arrested outside Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach. Agents say he pushed the muzzle of a rifle through the fence. They say he set up a sniper position in the bushes. He had a loaded SKS-style rifle, a scope, a Go Pro, backpacks, food, and ceramic tiles that looked like homemade armor. He ran when they spotted him.

Ryan was charged with attempting to assassinate President Trump. Routh also faces gun charges. One is for having a gun as a convicted felon. The other is for having a gun with the serial number scratched off. He pleaded not guilty.

Last week, Judge Cannon ruled that Routh can represent himself. But the public defenders must stay on standby.

Now she has blocked him from seeing the classified evidence. She says it would be a grave threat to national security.

Routh was already known to federal agents before the attack. He had traveled to Ukraine. He stayed there for eight months. His social media was full of pro-Ukraine messages. He appeared in a video with AZOV fighters.

When he came back to the United States, he was stopped by federal officers.

“Subject is a USC who had traveled to Kiev, Ukraine, for 3 months to help recruit Soldiers from Afghanistan, Moldova, and Taiwan, to fight in the Ukrainian war against Russia,” the CBP interview notes said.

“Subject stated that he does not get paid for his recruiting efforts and all his work for the Ukrainian government is strictly volunteer work Subject provided his recruiting business card (cards have been uploaded into the event) which list his recruiting partners that he speaks with to recruit soldiers from Afghanistan, Romanian, Pakistan, Syria, and Israel,” the note added. “Subject stated that he obtains money from his wife to help fund his trips to Ukraine.”

All of that was known before the attack. Now he is charged with trying to kill Trump, and the most important evidence in the case is sealed. Judge Cannon says it is a national security matter, but after everything she has done to protect Trump before, people are asking what she is really covering up this time. Why is the public shut out? Why is the man on trial not even allowed to see the files? What are they hiding — and who is she really protecting?
