I don’t know if snubs can be elegant, but this one, courtesy of our momala, Vice President Kamala Harris may qualify. Harris and her husband Douglas Emhoff were on hand to honor former President Jimmy Carter at his funeral. So was a certain malevolent tangerine-colored, ferret-haired unfortunately upcoming president, who was in the row behind Harris and Emhoff.
But in the photos shared by Harris, Donald Trump is mysteriously absent. If you didn’t know any better, you might assume he’s been slighted. And well, maybe he has been. The wide-angle photo shares all living presidents, but seems to have cropped Trump out of the photo. He was seated next to former President Barack Obama but you’d never know that from the photo.
This is, by all definitions, an epic snub of the highest order. It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy, especially when you consider all the mud he threw in Harris’s direction during the race for president. You can hardly blame Harris for bringing the Photoshop. If she did. And she posted it to X and Instagram.

Harris was a tough adversary during the campaign and Trump’s performance during the single debate that was held was truly disastrous. She rightly called him a “threat to democracy. Because he is. But since her loss, she’s been pretty tight-lipped about the President-Elect.
In the days before Carter’s funeral, Harris presided over the certification of Trump’s win, finalizing his victory.
She never directly mentioned Trump after certifying the election, but she did reference Trump’s absurd refusal to accept the 2020 and the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.
“It was obviously a very important day, and it was about what should be the norm and what the American people should be able to take for granted, which is that one of the most important pillars of our democracy is that there will be a peaceful transfer of power,” she told journalists. “And today, I did what I have done my entire career, which is take seriously the oath that I have taken many times to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
Harris wasn’t the only person to snub Trump during the funeral. Karen Pence, Mike Pence’s wife, also gave Trump and his wife, Melania Trump the cold shoulder, staying in her seat and ignoring them as the entered the event. Considering the fact that Trump’s minions threatened to hang her husband during the Jan. 6 riot, it’s understandable that she wasn’t excited to see these two.
This snub from Harris is classy. It’s what Trump gets for being a jerk 24/7.
