The timing speaks for itself

In other words, Stewart was saying that Leavitt does not stand for anything. She goes along with whatever Trump says, even if it means pushing false stories.

This is not the first time Leavitt has been criticized for her use of faith and language while speaking from the White House.

In April, she came under fire after making comments about Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Garcia had been mistakenly deported to El Salvador earlier this year, even though he had no criminal record.

Leavitt tried to link him to a 2023 case involving the rape and murder of a Maryland woman. She said Garcia was part of the MS-13 gang and claimed that an immigration court had confirmed it.

That was not true.

“She gets up there, and, with a cross around her neck, she lies,” said Andy Levy on The New Abnormal podcast. “She violates the ninth commandment about not bearing false witness.” He added, “She sits up there and says over and over again that Garcia was a member of the MS 13 gang… and she says that this was a finding of an immigration court. It absolutely was not.”
