White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt frequently has tense exchanges with reporters, but one she had this week was more tense than most.

According to The Daily Mail, it began when Northern Irish reporter Niall Stanage of The Hill asked Leavitt questions about the situation in Minnesota.

“Thirty-two people died in ICE custody last year, 170 US citizens were detained by ICE and Renee Good was shot in the head and killed by an ICE agent. How does that equate to them doing everything correctly?,” Stanage asked in the briefing.

“Why was Renee Good unfortunately and tragically killed?,” Leavitt asked.

After the reporter answered, “Because an ICE agent acted recklessly and killed her unjustifiably,” Leavitt went scorched Earth.

“Ok, so you are a biased reporter with a left-wing opinion….you are a left-wing hack. You are not a reporter,” she said. “You are posing in this room as a journalist.”

“You shouldn’t even be sitting in that seat, but you’re pretending like you’re a journalist, but you’re a left-wing activist and the question that you just raised in your answer proves your bias,” she added. The following day, Leavitt hosted anti-trans activist Riley Gaines, who by no means a journalist, at the White House press briefing.

There were some strong reactions to that angry exchange.
