The British government of Prime Minister Kier Starmer is currently teetering on the verge of potential collapse, largely due to revelations from the Jeffrey Epstein files that implicated government official Peter Mandelson, who has since resigned.
Closer to home, the Trump Administration is facing embarrassing disclosures about a cabinet official: Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, who has now admitted that he visited Epstein’s island, along with his family, long after he claimed to have cut ties with the disgraced financier.
On Tuesday, reporters in the White House briefing questioned Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt about Lutnick- and she cut the briefing short.
According to The Independent, “Leavitt was roughly 20 minutes into one of her regular briefings with the White House press corps when a reporter asked whether President Donald Trump would stand behind Lutnick, who earlier in the day had admitted to members of the Senate Commerce Committee that he’d visited Epstein’s notorious private island, Little Saint James.”

Leavitt made clear that Trump stands by his Commerce Secretary and called him “a very important member of President Trump’s team.”
Leavitt then launched a “monologue,” chastising reporters for asking about the issue.
“I will just point out that there are a lot of wins in the news this week that people in this room have not asked about — you continue to ask questions about the same subject — so let me point them out for you again,” the press secretary said. “So we’re going to get back to business. The president is very busy tonight, and you’ll see him all tomorrow at the event in the East Room touting his administration’s energy policy.”
Leavitt then left the room.
It was a similar story on Capitol Hill Wednesday, when Attorney General Pam Bondi appeared before a Congressional committee to face grilling’s about the Epstein files. To most questions, Bondi deflected to discussing Trump’s various “wins,” and got angry at the members of Congress for asking about it. In the performance, Bondi more resembled a personal attorney of the president’s than an independent Justice Department official.
OH – MY – GOD!!!
Jamie Raskin EVISCERATES Pam Bondi with the truth: “You turned the people’s Department of Justice into Trump’s instrument of revenge. Trump orders up prosecution like pizza.”
