Kellyanne Conway Refuses To Say Whether Donald And Melania Will Be Sending Barron Back To School In The Fall: “That’s A Personal Decision”

Go figure.

Donald Trump has officially put this nation in a position where he’s pushing us to quite literally choose between him and the lives of our children with his ridiculous and downright dangerous (and almost assuredly deadly) plan to force schools across the nation to reopen with business as usual for the upcoming school year.

Last week, Trump even went so far as to attempt to escalate his agenda with threats to pull federal funding if schools and, by default, parents didn’t do what he wanted, tweeting out, “Now that we have witnessed it on a large scale basis, and firsthand, Virtual Learning has proven to be TERRIBLE compared to In School, or On Campus, Learning. Not even close! Schools must be open in the Fall. If not open, why would the Federal Government give Funding? It won’t!!!”

However, it sounds like the Trump family may not be so eager for Chemistry class with a side of coronavirus when it comes to their own school-age son, Barron.

During a press gaggle in the White House driveway this morning, Kellyanne Conway was questioned as to whether or not Donald and Melania Trump would be sending their 14-year-old son back to in-person school. And her response certainly made us wonder if the Trump family’s hypocrisy just officially shot through the roof.

“That’s a personal decision,” Conway responded. “I don’t know what Barron’s school has decided and I certainly do not know what the first couple has decided in respect to their teenage son who I believe is entering high school this year.”

“I have two kids in Maryland also in private schools and I think we’re just waiting to see what those schools say,” Kellyanne went on. “So far we’re told we’re going back in a school not far away from his… We also recognize that not all school districts are the same, not all the hot spots are the same, so there is no one size fits all except to say we do know about kids on balance thrive better when they’re in a structured safe environment like our schools.”

Barron Trump is enrolled as a student at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, Maryland — around a half-hour drive from the White House. Thus far, the school has yet to roll out concrete plans for the 2020-2021 school year. However, the website does say “We are hopeful and optimistic that we can do this learning in person, and are preparing our physical plant and educational program with that goal in mind.”

However, the school is still considering a virtual learning plan if health concerns make it a requirement.

I wish I could act like I’d be surprised if Barron Trump is living it up in virtual learning this school year. However, I’ve quickly come to realize that the sanctimony coming out of this White House literally knows no bounds.
