Kellyanne Conway Reportedly Sounds The Alarm And Expresses Concerns About Trump's Campaign Strategy

In a recent appearance on Fox Business, Kellyanne Conway, a former advisor to Donald Trump, voiced concerns that the former president might be straying from the “winning formula” that could secure a victory against Kamala Harris in the upcoming election. During an August 12 interview with Larry Kudlow, Conway emphasized the need for Trump to steer clear of personal attacks, particularly his habit of calling Harris “stupid,” and instead focus on policy-driven messaging.

Conway, who was a senior consultant for Trump’s 2016 campaign, told Kudlow,

“The winning formula for President Trump is very plain to see: it’s fewer insults, more insights, and that policy contrast. He’s got that hunger, swagger, underdog underestimated of 2016 back, Larry, and you overlay that with the four-year presidential record where we did have growth, we did have wage growth, we had low unemployment, the whole line that you and I know.”

Since Kamala Harris assumed the presidential candidacy following Joe Biden’s withdrawal on July 21, Trump has launched various insults at Harris, calling her a “low IQ individual,” mocking her laugh, and accusing her of misleading voters about her race. However, Conway believes this approach is misguided.

In the interview, Conway also criticized Trump’s campaign for mocking Harris’ running mate, Tim Walz, with the nickname “Tampon Tim” following a bill he signed requiring free menstrual products in Minnesota school bathrooms. Instead, Conway suggested a different strategy, saying, “I call him ‘Tax and spend Tim’ instead. He’s proud of it, he’ll brag to you about taxing and spending there, and she’s been no better.”

Conway argued that Trump should focus on policy contrasts, asserting that Trump has a “two-to-one advantage over Biden-Harris on the economy and inflation, on the border, on Israel and Hamas.”
