Key J6 House Investigator Predicted This Is The End Of The Line For Trump, DOJ “Will Do The Right Thing” And Prosecute The Ex-President

There's nowhere left to run, Trump.

Recently, Republican House Rep. Adam Kinzinger, a key investigator on the January 6th House Select Committee and one of only two Republicans to serve on the panel, made an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union, where he openly predicted that he believes the United States Department of Justice “will do the right thing” and prosecute ex-President Donald Trump on his numerous crimes.

Kinzinger’s prediction came in his waning hours as a member of not only the long-running January 6th investigation but as a member of the House of Representatives as a whole, as the investigation comes to its official close and the Committee disbands as Republican leadership moves in. The prediction also comes on the heels of the Committee’s historic decision to refer scandal-ridden former President Donald Trump to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution on a series of crimes backed by evidence collected through their investigation — these criminal referrals included obstructing an official proceeding, conspiracy to defraud the government, and inciting or assisting an insurrection.

As we’re all painfully aware, the DOJ is unfortunately under no obligation to actually pick up or do anything with these referrals. They are merely suggestions, at best. However, Kinzinger spoke with CNN’s Dana Bash and said that he fully believes Garland’s Justice Department will build a case and ultimately prosecute former President Donald Trump.

“I think the Justice Department will do the right thing,” Adam told the CNN host. “I think he will be charged and I frankly think he should be.”

“If he is not guilty of a crime, I frankly fear for the future of this country,” the J6 investigator went on to add.

Ultimately, Kinzinger concluded that the entire nation is at risk if Trump is not formally charged with his crimes, as it opens the door of opportunity for other potential presidents to also behave criminally, because they know they can get away with it.
