Kimberly Guilfoyle, the former Fox News host who spent several years engaged to Donald Trump Jr., is now the U.S. ambassador to Greece and is under fire for text messages in which she asked a Republican donor for money. The Wall Street Journal reported that Guilfoyle had asked the donor to wire $100,000 to her American Express account shortly before her confirmation hearing for the ambassadorship.
The donor, Eric Deters, admitted in interviews later that he was the source of the damning text messages. Texts published by the Journal showed that Deters had paid Guilfoyle $300,000 over the years and was complaining that he had nothing to show for it. Guilfoyle went on to complain that Deters had been putting these complaints in writing.
Now, The Daily Beast has reported something else embarrassing in Guilfoyle’s texts.
Deters, per the report, has released “a 150-page media-ready document full of explosive claims, including ones about Guilfoyle.”
Ugly text messages that appear to show Kimberly Guilfoyle slamming her ex’s new girlfriend have surfaced.

These include texts in which she took shots at Bettina, Donald Trump Jr.’s new wife. Don and Bettina were photographed together in September 2024, the first inkling in the press that the president’s son and Guilfoyle were no longer together.
“That’s his ex-wife’s friend,” Guilfoyle wrote in one text after photographs were published in the Daily Mail. “It’s all lies, but she’s a cloud-chasing horror that plays the story in the Daily Mail to get attention.” Guilfoyle, who presumably meant to say “clout-chasing,” also accused Bettina of sending the Daily Mail bikini photos of her herself.
Deters confirmed to the Daily Beast that the messages are genuine, although Guifloyle’s attorney “disputes the authenticity of the messages.”
Don Jr. and Bettina married earlier this year in a ceremony his father, the president, did not attend. Details came out later that a Putin-allied Russian oligarch paid for the wedding celebration. That oligarch, Umar Kremlev, said this week that the president’s son had paid him back for the cost of the celebration.
