The legacy of the one-beloved “Friends” actor Matthew Perry is now teetering on the precipice of demise as truly horrifying allegations of brutal assaults against multiple women surface in the media this week.
British entertainment tabloid, The Daily Mail, broke reporting on the unsettling new allegations against Perry in a recent, bombshell report.
Perry, best known for his years-long role as Chandler Bing on the 90s sitcom “Friends,” passed away on October 28, 2023 at the age of 54. The actor, who employed a funny, fun-loving personality, was found unresponsive in a hot tub in his Los Angeles home. Perry’s death was ruled accidental, as a direct result of the “acute effects of ketamine,” combined with drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine — a drug most often used to help treat opioid addiction.
The “Friends” actor’s death came after a decades-long history of addiction, alcohol and drug abuse, and multiple relapses.

From an outside perspective, Perry was always painted as a funny, kind soul with a troubled past and a sad struggle with addiction. In fact, Perry basically painted himself that way in his own memoir about his battles. But one source told the publication, “The man those close to him knew and the man that the world saw were two very different people.”
The late actor is said to have physically assaulted multiple women in his life, including his ex-fiance Molly Hurwitz, and his one-time live-in sober companion, Morgan Moses, who Perry personally described as his “best friend” and credited for saving his life after his colon ruptured in his memoir.
In truth, it seems, Moses quit her job as Perry’s sober companion, moved out of his home, and cut all ties with the actor more than a year before Perry wrote his memoir, after he “shoved Morgan into a wall and threw her onto a bed,” according to a source.
Perry is also said to have been physically abusive toward his now ex-fiance after he allegedly threw a table at her when she confronted him about cheating.
“He threw a coffee table at her and told her that she was crazy,” the source told Daily Mail. “He hated that she dumped him and he had terrible abandonment issues.”
The newly surfaced allegations, combined with the cause of Perry’s death, also serve to heavily question Perry’s claims and assertions that he was “finally clean.” It’s clear that the actor was still using a variety of substances, even allegedly using dating apps to meet young women who would bring drugs to his $6 million mansion, despite having a full, live-in nursing team to help him combat his addiction issues.
Since his death, the actor has been described as “incredibly reclusive” and “angry and mean” throughout the years preceding his death.
