Lauren Boebert is out here being positively shameless yet again.
The controversial far-Right Colorado House Rep. — who is positively steeped in her own ocean of controversy these days, ranging from her nasty divorce to her teen son’s out-of-wedlock child and subsequent crime spree, to her infamous Beetlejuice fiasco — has now formally introduced an actual piece of real-life legislation that seeks to slash the salary of one specific senior federal official to 1 single dollar for quite literally no other reason than the fact that the lady was mean to her.
According to reporting from Newsweek, Boebert introduced an amendment to a funding bill that seeks to cut the salary of Melissa Schwartz, who works as director of communications in the office of Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland, to a mere $1, for the sole purpose of retribution against Schwartz, who Boebert claims regularly criticizes her and is generally not nice to her.
In her big tirade from the House floor, Boebert screeched, “Melissa Schwartz is yet another horrendous and miserable use of taxpayer dollars. She is a mask-wearing, quadruple-vaxed, Green New Deal extremist and, unfortunately, a liberal troll who has harassed me even in committee hearing rooms. She shouldn’t be employed at the Department of [the] Interior. Melissa Schwartz belongs under a bridge.”

“Melissa has the nerve and lack of respect to confront me in the halls of Congress following a Department of Interior meeting,” she went on to rant in what can only be described as a full-blown temper tantrum. “In this hearing, she had the audacity to come and personally attack a member of Congress.”
“This DEI hire made clear she doesn’t work for the American people and she is simply another misguided mouthpiece for liberal extremists that hates conservatives and people that disagree with her eccentric views,” Lauren said from the House floor, using a slur that’s been a favorite of Conservatives lately, meant to imply that a non-white, woman, or LGBTQIA+ employee has only been hired by a Democrat to serve as a token of diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) rather than on merit, competency, or accomplishments.
Funnily enough, Boebert herself just used last week’s RNC as an opportunity to dry beg Donald Trump for the Interior Secretary position, should the ex-president successfully return to the White House next year.
