Much attention has been paid to Rep. Lauren Boebert’s romantic life, whether it was her divorce or the moment she was kicked out of a Denver theater for a public display of affection with a male companion in late 2023.

Now, Boebert has been repeatedly photographed with a different male suitor: The rap/rock star Kid Rock.

According to The Daily Beast, the two were first seen together at Donald Trump’s inauguration in January, where they were shown “leaving the shindig together in a cab at 2.30 a.m.” Then, the two were photographed together again at an event called the “Rock ’ Rodeo” in Texas.

Kid Rock and Boebert have not confirmed that they’re dating.

The performer, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, is no stranger to politics. He was floated as a potential candidate for the U.S. Senate in his native Michigan in 2018, and while he didn’t end up running, he ended up the subject of a Federal Election Commission (FEC) investigation. Kid Rock was ultimately cleared in that matter, in which the FEC agreed that the “campaign” was an  “artistic and commercial undertaking” meant to promote the performer’s album and tour at the time, and not a legitimate political campaign.

Kid Rock also appeared in 2024 at the Republican National Convention, where he performed his song “American Badass”:

This week, Donald Trump threatened to launch investigations into a group of celebrities, including Bruce Springsteen and Beyonce, who campaigned and performed for Kamala Harris’ campaign in 2024.

“HOW MUCH DID KAMALA HARRIS PAY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FOR HIS POOR PERFORMANCE DURING HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT?,” Trump wrote in an all-caps Truth Social post.  “WHY DID HE ACCEPT THAT MONEY IF HE IS SUCH A FAN OF HERS? ISN’T THAT A MAJOR AND ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION? WHAT ABOUT BEYONCÉ? …AND HOW MUCH WENT TO OPRAH, AND BONO???”

A “campaign contribution” is when a person contributes to the campaign, and not the other way around, but Trump has not articulated why the same standard wouldn’t apply to Kid Rock, Lee Greenwood, Hulk Hogan and other celebrities who appeared on behalf of Trump’s campaign in 2024.
