Legal Expert Confirmed Newest “Blockbuster” Legal Setback For Trump In Case With The DOJ Is A “Big, Big Blow” To His Chances In 2024

This setback may be the end of him.

Scandal-ridden former President Donald Trump has suffered a new legal setback in his case with the DOJ this week that may soon serve as the final, deadly blow to his 2024 presidential campaign.

Many Americans and experts have long speculated that the main driving force behind Trump’s 3rd consecutive White House run is his desperation for power and protection against the numerous lawsuits, probes, and investigations that continue to rage and gain steam against him — in the form of some sort of “absolute immunity” he’s so convinced he has. It’s likely that Trump fully believed that announcing his candidacy only served to strengthen that notion of immunity against any persecution for any of his endless crimes.

However, the US Department of Justice recently delivered a brutal filing that shot Trump’s immunity hopes straight to Hell, with no hope of return:

Nixon v. Fitzgerald establishes a rule of absolute immunity for the president’s official acts. It is not a rule of absolute immunity for the president regardless of the nature of his acts.”

In non-legal speak, that means Donald Trump does not boast any immunity in the cases against him. Nixon v. Fitzgerald established an immunity precedent only for official acts of a sitting United States president. That ruling does not serve as blanket coverage and protection for a former (and since disgraced) president against any and all crimes he may see fit to commit for the rest of his life.

Since this bombshell DOJ determination, one legal expert is now speaking out and said the loss of any perceived immunity is a “blockbuster” development in the Trump v. DOJ case, and will only serve to open the floodgates to an absolute windfall of lawsuits, investigations, and additional legal peril against the already scandal-stricken ex-president — especially in relation to his role in the deadly January 6th Capitol attack.

Former prosecutor Charles Colemen Jr. made an appearance on MSNBC’s The Katie Phang Show, on the heels of the news, where he opined that this development will likely serve as the final knell in the coffin of Donald Trump’s already struggling run for the Oval Office in 2024.

Phang questioned, “So, what does this mean now that those plaintiffs, police officers, those members of Congress can sue the former president, move forward with the litigation over what happened during the insurrection?”

“A blockbuster,” Coleman responded without a second thought. “The decision cannot be more important or come at a worse time for Donald Trump. You are talking about someone who is looking forward to 2024 and trying to, as we were just talking about in your last segment, now, another challenge to Joe Biden to be president again, and he has to potentially deal with lawsuits from Capitol police officers as well as Congresspeople who feel like they’ve put them in danger with his rhetoric around January Six and what happened.”

“This is a big, big blow to Donald Trump and significant news,” the legal expert went on to explain. “Because it opens the proverbial floodgates for lawsuits. Now, the downside to this is, while there may be a significant political strain that comes from this, and also the stain on reputation that does further damage to Donald Trump, I don’t necessarily know that a victory in court is going to yield much money in terms of them being able to collect whatever judgment they will ultimately be able to get.”

When you really cut down to the quick of it, Trump has absolutely nothing left to protect him.
