As if the $350 million (with interest) judgment and ban on practicing or running any business in the state of New York for the next several years weren’t already bad enough for the former president, Trump now gets to suffer the additional humiliation of being stuck with financial “babysitters” as a part of Judge Arthur Engoron’s bombshell ruling in the civil fraud case against Trump and the Trump Organization by New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Trump lost his ass in the worst kind of way in this case, after he was found liable for falsifying his financial records to misrepresent the value of his properties and assets in an effort to obtain more favorable treatment for his business from banks, loan adjusters, insurance companies, and the IRS.
When Judge Engoron handed down his ruling yesterday, he didn’t just order the scandal-plagued former president to pay out the nose — the judgment came with a slew of additional restrictions around Donald’s company. This included the addition of an independent monitor to keep a sharp eye on the Trump Org’s finances for the next 3 years, to ensure that they’re not up to any additional sketchy business now that the investigation portion of the suit is over.
On the heels of the bombshell news, former prosecutor Kristy Greenberg made an appearance on MSNBC where they spoke about the effects that this brutal judgment will have on what little was left of Donald’s public image.

MSNBC anchor Ari Melber questioned, “How does it matter?”
“I think it matters in a lot of ways,” Greenberg responded. “Donald Trump’s whole image is about being this incredible businessman and also tied up in being all about New York and a symbol of New York and Wall Street thriving. This really puts the light to that and shows that, no, in fact, his company was a mess, and not just was, is currently a mess.”
“That’s why this independent monitor has been extended for three years, because she put out a report just three weeks ago that there are still all kinds of inconsistencies and errors in his disclosures,” she went on to explain. “They’re going to have a compliance officer. They don’t have a compliance department at this company. He’s going to have babysitters. The person who has ‘The Art of the Deal’ now needs a babysitter to make sure they’re doing things appropriately.”
The bottom line, Greenberg said: “it totally changes his image.”
