It seems even “Lapdog” Lindsey Graham knows ex-President Donald Trump is “going to have some damage to repair” beforehand if he expects to have even a shot at the presidency should he run again in 2024 like we all know he will.
Graham’s comments about a third crack at the White House came during a recent appearance on Sean Hannity’s primetime Fox News show.
Twitter users, of course, latched onto Graham’s comments about the former president rather quickly, as you’d expect, and called it the understatement of either the year or even the century, given his track record with members of his own party and the tumultuous four years he already spent in the Oval Office, according to a report from The Independent.
Other Twitter users used the opportunity to call Graham out on his ever-changing feelings for Donald Trump over the years. However, even having called Trump everything but the kitchen sink back in the day, Graham now seems to fully believe that the former real estate “mogul” has a damn good shot at the Republican primary and even the general election; but only if he cleans up the Republican party first.

Graham and Hannity spent some time criticizing the “establishment Republican Party” while reiterating that he feels Donald Trump’s “America First” agenda is the GOP’s only way forward. He goes on to note that GOPers who don’t believe that don’t understand the Republican party.
“It should be an America First agenda and if President Trump runs, he’s going to have some damage to repair, but I think he’s in great shape to win the primary and could get re-elected,” he stated. “And my question is, if he’s the nominee would you support him? I would like to hear a lot of people answer that question.”
Frankly, I disagree with Graham here. If Trump wants to run again, he’s definitely got some damage to repair. But it’s more so with the 4 years of torture he reigned on this country and some serious mental health issues.
