Yesterday marked Melania Trump’s 54th trip around the sun and her scandal-ridden, disgraced, and multi-indicted husband marked the occasion with a little birthday shoutout to his wife in a press conference outside the Manhattan courthouse where he’s currently on trial for 34 different felony charges related to hush money payments he made to women he was having sexual affairs with.

As if the time and place for his birthday wishes to his wife weren’t already awkward and ironic enough as it were, Trump successfully made things even weirder when he added his trademarked pompous and self-serving twist to the matter.
In video clips of the presser that have since gone viral across social media, Trump delivered this little message to his wife and the nation, standing firmly outside the courthouse where the likes of his once-imprisoned former fixer, washed up and disgraced ex-tabloid publisher, and the alleged former porn star mistress herself have or will deliver damning testimony against him: “I want to start by wishing my wife Melania a very happy birthday. It would be nice to be with her but I’m in a courthouse for a rigged trial.”

Suffice it to say, Melania’s name was trending on X (formerly known as Twitter) within a hot New York second.

Donald Trump has pleaded not guilty to the 34 felony charges against him, all in connection to falsifying business records in an attempt to cover up hush money payments made to his alleged affair partners, in an effort to conceal his extramarital affairs during the 2016 election cycle that he would go on to win. Trump vehemently denies having affairs with adult film star Stormy Daniels, as well as ex-Playboy model Karen McDougal, who claims to have had both a sexual and a romantic relationship with Donald Trump while his wife Melania was pregnant with their only son Barron.
