During the January 6th Committee’s hearing today, regarding the impending decision of whether or not they will hold Donald Trump’s former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows in contempt for his sudden refusal to cooperate with the investigation into the Capitol insurrection and subsequent refusal to show up to his testimony — GOP House Rep. Liz Cheney absolutely murdered several Trump allies, including Donald’s eldest son.

Speaking before the Committee in favor of holding Meadows in Content of Congress for his refusal to comply with the investigation, Cheney read aloud numerous text messages that she says were sent to Meadows, when he was acting as Donald Trump’s Chief of Staff, during the infamous January riot. Those messages included texts she claimed were from Donald’s eldest son, Don Jr., to his father’s Chief of Staff, painting a picture of a panicked Jr. as his father’s supporters tore at the very seams of our democracy, and his dad did essentially nothing.

Cheney was using the texts to shine a clear light on damning evidence that was turned over by Meadows himself, showing that numerous allies of the then-president begged and pleaded with Donald Trump to put a stop to the violent Capitol attack by his very own supporters, but despite it all, Trump continued to take absolutely no action for three full hours, as the situation mounted out of control.

“We need an Oval Office address,” one message sent to Meadows by Don Jr. is said to read. Jr. was pressuring the Chief of Staff to get his father to make the rioters stand down. Cheney notes to the Committee that Don texted Meadows “again and again” in an effort to get his father to call off the attack by his supporters.

“He’s got to condemn this sh*t ASAP,” Junior fumed in another panicked text. “The Capitol Police tweet is not enough.”

Donald’s eldest son and biggest fan wasn’t the only one of his closest allies to beg him to make it stop.

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade texted Meadows, begging, “Please get him on TV,” going on to add that the insurrection was “destroying everything you have accomplished.”

Kilmeade’s fellow Fox talking head, Laura Ingraham also messaged Trump’s Chief of Staff, warming Meadows that Donald Trump was actively “destroying his legacy” by staying silent on the violent Capitol attack.

Frankly, there’s just no room for questions here anymore. The Committee’s job is all but done for them after that.
