More Republicans are breaking ranks over the Epstein files.

It appears that a dam has burst when it comes to Republicans who have joined Democrats in calling for the release of the Justice Department and FBI’s files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

It’s been known since earlier this week that Democrats have enough votes for a discharge petition to move forward with compelling the release of the notorious files. This was after some conservative Republicans, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), and Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), agreed to vote yes, even after Boebert was summoned on Wednesday to a meeting in the White House Situation Room.

Now, even more Republicans have agreed to vote for the petition, which will come to a vote next week.

Per The Daily Beast, Reps. Warren Davidson of Ohio, Eli Crane of Arizona, Don Bacon of Nebraska, Tim Burchett of Tennessee, and Rob Bresnahan of Pennsylvania have all said that they will vote yes, joining every Democrat and the previously committed Republicans. Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-AZ), whose swearing-in had been delayed by the House not being in session during the government shutdown, is also a yes vote.

The new push came the day after Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released a cache of new emails from Epstein’s accounts, which included the notorious sex offender corresponding with powerful people. While there are no smoking guns in those emails related to Trump’s alleged direct involvement in Epstein’s crimes, there are numerous embarrassing details.

“I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump,” Epstein wrote in an email to Ghislaine Maxwell in 2011. “[Redacted victim name] spent hours at my house with him. He has never once been mentioned.”

Trump has continued to use the word “hoax” when talking about anything related to Epstein.

“The Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax again because they’ll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they’ve done on the Shutdown, and so many other subjects,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Wednesday. “Only a very bad, or stupid, Republican would fall into that trap.”
But many Republicans, it appears, have.
