Shawn Ryan, a MAGA podcaster and former Navy SEAL, reacted to a White House post praising “PEACE” by hinting that President Donald Trump may not be mentally fit for office. “Ummm… I know we all thought the last guy had dementia but…” Ryan wrote on X.
The post came as Trump attended the inaugural meeting of his Board of Peace, a new initiative to oversee conflicts like Gaza.
At the same time, U.S. forces were reportedly mobilizing in the Middle East ahead of a potential strike on Iran. Ryan’s comments suggest concern not just about policy, but about the president’s decision-making during tense moments.
Ryan used to back Trump and even interviewed him on his podcast in 2024. But his support has faded, especially over the Department of Justice’s handling of files connected to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. While Attorney General Pam Bondi recently claimed that “all” the files have been released, Ryan has criticized the DOJ for not taking action.

“Nobody gives a f*ck,” Ryan said in a video responding to Bondi’s testimony in Congress. “What you should be talking about is how you are going to investigate and prosecute any pedophiles that are running around on Epstein Island that you’re affiliated with. But we didn’t talk about that, did we? Oh, and what’s the excuse? What was the excuse? Oh – ‘if we prosecute everybody the whole system would go down.’”

Ryan also expressed regret over his past support. “I fcking voted for this sht,” he admitted in January. “I voted to get these damn files released, and it’s like a total 180 just happened.”
His frustration highlights a growing rift between some pro-Trump figures and the president himself.
The MAGA podcaster also took aim at Trump’s $10 billion commitment to the Board of Peace, intended to address foreign conflicts including Gaza. Reposting a warning, he shared, “Do not think some of those funds won’t end up in the hands of Hamas. Let’s not be fools.”
Today, Trump announced a $10B U.S. commitment to the Board of Peace for global conflicts, including Gaza. I told you we’d get stuck funding this! Do not think some of those funds won’t end of in the hands of Hamas. Let’s not be fools.

Ryan’s post follows a period of heightened scrutiny of the president’s decisions, both domestically and abroad. From his handling of the Epstein files to his ambitious peace initiatives, critics argue that Trump’s approach may be inconsistent or risky.
