Karoline Leavitt posted new holiday photos from Trump National Golf Club in Washington, D.C., on December 7. The pictures showed a bright tree, a table full of Christmas treats, and a calm, cheerful scene. But many people ended up talking about her lips instead.
In a car selfie, Leavitt wore a white jacket, a red turtleneck, and hoop earrings. Her blond hair was tied back, leaving her whole face in clear view. Her lips looked extra full and very red, and some viewers noticed small dots around her mouth. With the glossy finish, the marks were hard to miss.
The selfie was meant to be festive, but many users focused on her lip filler. The look matched what some call the “Mar-a-Lago face,” a style linked to smooth skin and very bold lips. Leavitt, who serves as White House press secretary, has been photographed many times at Trump events, and her cosmetic changes often become a talking point.
Photos from her July visit to Scotland told a similar story. She sat with Donald Trump at his Trump Turnberry Golf Courses, and close shots showed redness outlining her smile. Her light lipstick did not cover it. Viewers believed she had recent injections before the trip, based on the visible texture and the shape of her lips.

Another set of photos raised the same questions when she attended the U.S. Open in New York. She wore a white jacket again while watching the match with others from Trump’s world. In one image, she pressed her upper lip inward, but that only made fans examine the area more closely. Some thought she also had cheek filler and possibly Botox. Her overall look was noticeably sharper and more filled out.
Online chatter spiked after she shared her July 4th Instagram carousel. One photo showed her at a Washington Nationals baseball game wearing a black tank top, red jeans, and sunglasses perched on her head. She leaned in next to fellow Trump aide Margo Martin, and her lips looked extremely full, giving the impression they had reached the natural limit of filler.
Instagram users were quick to react. One wrote, “What’s wrong with her lips? [lip emoji] is that scaring from botched surgery.” Supporters also chimed in, saying she might have gone “overboard.” The reactions were not subtle. People very clearly noticed the changes.
Leavitt has never responded to the comments. She keeps posting her photos and moving through events with the president. She shows up in matching jackets, new makeup looks, and an ever-changing lip shape.
