Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Wednesday hosted a congressional hearing on the long-term Republican goal of eliminating public funding from PBS and NPR. Afterward, she gathered reporters for a short press availability while taking exception to a question from a British reporter.

As shown in a C-SPAN video, a reporter began asking Rep. Greene a question about Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. But before she got a couple of words out, Greene interrupted to ask what country she was from; when she answered, the UK.

“Okay, we don’t give a crap about your opinion and your reporting. Why don’t you go back to your country where you have a major migrant problem. You should care about your own borders,” Rep. Greene said to the reporter, identified by Mediaite as  Sky News correspondent Martha Kelner.

Kelener continued to try to ask questions, but Greene refused to answer and attempted to move on to a different question. That “American reporter” then asked Greene to answer Kelner’s question.

“I’m not answering her question because I don’t care about her network,” Greene said.

When the second reporter asked about the “complete lack of operational security,” as shown in the Atlantic story about the Yemen text chain, Greene changed the subject to the Biden Administration and its border policies.

“The Trump Administration is doing a great job, and I stand by their statements,” she said. “I am thankful to President Trump that he is leading us out of wars, that he is ending the war in Ukraine, where American lives could have been killed if Joe Biden was still president.” It’s not clear why Greene thinks that “American lives” could have been “killed” in Ukraine, where the U.S. has never sent troops.

The hearing, held earlier in the day, was like many in the past on the subject, featuring lots of pictures and props of Big Bird and Elmo.
