MAGA base turning against Trump

The Trump administration is facing fierce backlash from its own MAGA base after launching strikes against Iran.

Former GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene blasted the White House on X: “How about ZERO you bunch of sick fucking liars. We voted for America First and ZERO wars.” She added, “This is heartbreaking and tragic. And how many more innocent will die? What about our own military? This is not what we thought MAGA was supposed to be. Shame!”

Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson, who had recently met Trump at the White House, called the strikes “absolutely disgusting and evil” in an interview with ABC News.

The attacks, which Trump described as “major combat operations” and “massive and ongoing,” are part of a joint campaign with Israel named “Operation Epic Fury.”

Even sitting Republicans are raising concerns.

Rep. Thomas Massie criticized the strikes as unconstitutional, saying on X: “I am opposed to this War. This is not ‘America First.’ When Congress reconvenes, I will work with [Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna] to force a Congressional vote on war with Iran.”

Sen. Rand Paul emphasized the same point: “As with all war, my first and purest instinct is wish Americans soldiers safety and success in their mission. But my oath of office is to the Constitution, so with studied care, I must oppose another Presidential war.”

Far-right figures outside Congress are also alarmed. Alex Jones warned that Iran could activate sleeper cells inside the U.S., claiming Trump’s “HUGE gamble accelerates the world‘s trajectory towards a nuclear world war.”

Andrew Tate questioned the operation: “Why would going into a war with Iran benefit anybody in American at all?”

Even Nick Fuentes weighed in: “NO WAR WITH IRAN. ISRAEL IS DRAGGING US TO WAR. AMERICA FIRST.”

Trump addressed the Iranian people in an eight-minute video on Truth Social. He instructed civilians to stay inside and urged them to “take over your government. It will be yours to take. The hour of your freedom is at hand.” He warned U.S. troops could be lost in the operation: “That often happens in war, but we’re doing this for the future.”

Iran retaliated with strikes across the Middle East, targeting Gulf states including Dubai, Qatar, and Bahrain. One missile hit a U.S. Navy base. Most attacks were intercepted, but analysts warn Iran’s missile stockpile and regional proxies could escalate the conflict.
