While promoting her new book on Fox News this past Tuesday, Melania Trump boasted about two websites—melaniatrump.com and USMemorabilia.com—that she said supported charitable causes, specifically fostering children and community-building. It sounded like a noble cause. However, a closer look at these websites tells a very different story. Could Melania be following in her husband’s footsteps, making grand charity claims that fall apart under scrutiny?
Juliet Jeske, of Decoding Fox News, did some digging and shared her findings on X (formerly Twitter) Thursday night. Her research revealed that USMemorabilia.com, one of the websites Melania mentioned, makes no mention of any charity work. Instead, it’s all about selling U.S.-themed merchandise and NFT collectibles. As Jeske pointed out, there is no indication that any proceeds from these sales go to charity. She posted her findings in a tweet:
When Melania Trump was on “The Five” on Tuesday she mentioned two websites as her platform implying that they were both connected to charity work for foster children. I went to both websites. Neither contains much about any charity. I provide receipts. pic.twitter.com/pOLCTnkp3L

Jeske also looked into melaniatrump.com. While the site features a section about Melania’s “Be Best” anti-bullying campaign, it seems more focused on selling products than promoting charitable efforts. The “Be Best” page lacked any links to a specific charity, and even the section called “Fostering the Future” offered nothing more than a link to email inquiries about scholarships or corporate sponsorships. There were no clear details about any actual charity work or where donations would go.

This pattern looks familiar. Is Melania taking a page from her husband’s playbook? Donald Trump has a history of talking big about charity while doing very little. His Donald J. Trump Foundation, for example, was exposed as nothing more than a money-laundering operation that served his personal and political interests. He was forced to shut it down after a major investigation found the foundation had broken multiple laws. Even Eric Trump got caught in a scandal when it was revealed that money meant for children’s cancer research was diverted to benefit the Trump family.
Melania is no stranger to charity controversies, either. Back in 2017, she planned an extravagant charity event, with ticket prices soaring as high as $50,000. The problem? The event had no clear charity partner, and after mounting questions, it was abruptly canceled.
It’s important to note that Melania hasn’t been accused of any crimes in relation to these latest charity claims, but considering her husband’s record and her own past missteps, she should probably be more careful when talking about charity. The last thing the Trump family needs is another scandal, especially with Donald Trump eyeing a return to the White House in 2024. More drama will only add to the long list of investigations and legal troubles already surrounding him.
So, what’s really going on with Melania Trump’s websites? Are they genuinely trying to help foster children, or are they just another way to cash in on the Trump name? Right now, there’s little evidence to suggest these sites are doing much for charity at all. If Melania truly wants to help children, she needs to provide some transparency about where the money is going. Until then, it’s hard to take her claims seriously.
